Get to the Gym - Don't Skip Your Workout
The hardest part of working out is getting to the gym. These motivation tips will help you to exercise more and reduce your frequency of skipping a gym workout.
- Go to the gym during the time when one of your favorite television shows is on. Most gyms have tvs that you can watch while exercising. You can switch machines during commercial breaks.
- If your gym does not have a tv, pick up one of your favorite magazines to take with you to the gym. Make a point not to read your magazine anywhere but the gym. This will encourage you to go to the gym.
- Take your iPod with you to the gym. You can download the latest music or television shows to your iPod. Put your iPod on shuffle so your work out is more interesting.
- Plan time to take a friend to the gym. Most people do not want to let anyone down, so the planned date will encourage you to go and exercise.
- Most gyms offer various exercise classes. Make a pact to go and try each one. You will get personal attention from a trainer and work out hard. Take advantage of these classes and get your money's worth from your gym membership.
Excuses are far too easy to make up. These tips will help you to increase motivation and get to the gym.
